Airplane, train and car playgrounds!
Retired steam-engine train
Tempelhof: This big retired steam engine is a great place to play, but the playground also has a lot of other things to do as for example wooden houses and pirate ships. Great place all together.
Wilmersdorf: The small metal train sits on real tracks and can be pushed around by two adults - usually all kids flock to you when you start pushing!
Friedrichshain: The most 'Berlin' playground as can be is the S-Bahn playground, complete only with lots of graffiti.
Classic Remise
Moabit: Here you can see 100s of classical and sports cars - free admission. Behind the Remise there is also a nice playground.
Firefighters Truck
Schöneberg: Great playground - kids love firefighters. But also really makes us wonder why there is no police playground!
Tempelhof: Really lovely playground with 2 airplanes and a helicopter. Close to historical Tempelhof Airport, but in a very quiet and beautiful neighbourhood.
Lichtenberg: Small and cute playground with a small and cute yellow train.
Moabit: This was an abandoned rail station before it was transformed into a public park and urban innovation center. There is also community gardens here and great place to have a picnic.
Mitte: Super place for climbing in meshes, and also has a big bouldering wall.
If you kids loves airplanes, cars and trains, than you should also consider the amazing Technical Museum of Berlin with a huge collection or the free admission Military Airplane Museum that is basically just a retired airport with many many airplanes.
